Getting Started
To begin using the tool, please watch the tutorial video “Getting Started: How to Use it”
- Download and unzip the ETABS and PLAXIS 3D Package
- Launch the tool, validate the license, and begin the conversion process
Running The Conversion
Once the license is validated, ensure that PLAXIS 3D Server is running. The program requires a server password for security authentication. After setting up the necessary input files, you can proceed with the automation where the tool executes:
- Reading and parsing the ETABS file
- Defining pile locations
- Creating soil layers
- Generating raft-pile systems
- Importing beams, walls, floors and loads
- Generating mesh and activating interfaces
- Running the PLAXIS model
- Producing detailed output for Structural Analysis

Viewing Results
Once the process is complete, the tool generates an Excel Output file containing:
- Pile locations and forces
- Axial & Reaction forces (U, K values, stiffness constants)
- Contour plots for visualization
The input file format is also excel-based, where users can define pile locations (X, Y, Z), pile diameter, skin resistance (Tmax), and soil layer details.
